Thomas R. Baker III joins the Stephens & Stevens Family Law Firm

January 18, 2023 – West Palm Beach, Fla. – Stephens & Stevens PLLC proudly announce the hiring of their new family law attorney, Thomas R. Baker III, to their firm. Baker recently served 16 years as a General Magistrate for the 15th Judicial Circuit where he presided over thousands of evidentiary hearings and trials in the family division. Prior to becoming a family law magistrate, he practiced family law in Jupiter for 19 years.

Baker is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and received his juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

He is a member and past president of the Susan Greenberg Family Law Inns of Court of the Palm Beaches which recently recognized him with the 2022 Honorable John L. Phillips Professionalism Award. He has served as President of the North

Palm Beach County Bar Association, member of the Palm Beach State College

Business Partnership Council, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association.

January 2023 marks the one-year anniversary of Stephens & Stevens PLLC, founded by partners Eddie Stephens and Caryn A. Stevens. Eddie Stephens was nominated for Nonprofits First Hat’s Off Award for Volunteer of the Year. Caryn A. She was also selected for the 2023 Rising Star Leadership Award by Herizon (formerly the Jewish Women’s Foundation).

Stephens has established himself as a leader in family law and the community. He founded a family law blog and has served as a mentor in his field for the past eighteen years, writing articles and speaking to peers about new laws affecting family and marital law. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Child Counseling, Inc., and the Board of Governors for Leadership Palm Beach County. As a Board-Certified Divorce Attorney, Stephens released his 19th book on Florida Family Law. His most recent edition will be released January 27, 2023, and all proceeds from the book are donated to the Center for Child Counseling, Inc.

Stevens serves on the Board of Directors for Herizon and was recently a speaker in their free educational workshop series, Money Mavens. Her achievement of the Herizon 2023 Rising Star Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding young woman who has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of women and girls in our community through volunteerism and philanthropic investment. Stevens is also in her fifth year serving as a mentor for at-risk high school students, through the Women of Tomorrow program.

Eddie Stephens came highly recommended yet has managed to surpass my expectations of him. I hired Eddie to represent me on my petition for an Injunction, a case I wanted handled expertly and swiftly. Caryn represented me (the wife) in my divorce and my ex-husband represented himself. I wanted this to be as easy as possible on both my ex and I. Caryn took the reigns on all the legal stuff but let me drive the negotiations. She advised me on what would be achievable if I ended up in court and helped me craft the language in all of our agreements to make it palatable to my ex, give me what I wanted, and keep me OUT of court. She was on my team (and the kids’ team) and we did right by everyone involved. She got my divorce over the finish line without any animosity between my ex and I. I couldn’t be more grateful. Gina Szapucki takes what she does very seriously and does it to the best of her ability. She did everything in her power to accomplish the best outcome in our case.
