January 18, 2023 – West Palm Beach, Fla. – Stephens & Stevens PLLC proudly announce the hiring of their new family law attorney, Thomas R. Baker III, to their firm. Baker recently served 16 years as a General Magistrate for the 15th Judicial Circuit where he presided over thousands of evidentiary hearings and trials in the family division. Prior to becoming a family law magistrate, he practiced family law in Jupiter for 19 years.

Baker is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and received his juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

He is a member and past president of the Susan Greenberg Family Law Inns of Court of the Palm Beaches which recently recognized him with the 2022 Honorable John L. Phillips Professionalism Award. He has served as President of the North

Palm Beach County Bar Association, member of the Palm Beach State College

Business Partnership Council, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association.

Stephens has established himself as a leader in family law and the community. He founded a family law blog and has served as a mentor in his field for the past eighteen years, writing articles and speaking to peers about new laws affecting family and marital law. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Child Counseling, Inc., and the Board of Governors for Leadership Palm Beach County. As a Board-Certified Divorce Attorney, Stephens released his 19th book on Florida Family Law. His most recent edition will be released January 27, 2023, and all proceeds from the book are donated to the Center for Child Counseling, Inc.

Stevens serves on the Board of Directors for Herizon and was recently a speaker in their free educational workshop series, Money Mavens. Her achievement of the Herizon 2023 Rising Star Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding young woman who has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of women and girls in our community through volunteerism and philanthropic investment. Stevens is also in her fifth year serving as a mentor for at-risk high school students, through the Women of Tomorrow program.
